INJURY
An inflammation of the bone, cartilage and/or tendon at the top of the shinbone (where the tendon attaches from the kneecap).
SIGN & SYMPTOMS
Children between the ages of 9-14 years old will experience pain, swelling and tenders under the kneecap and over the shinbone. This condition worsens during activity and subsides with rest.
