INJURY
Condromalacia (Patellofemoral Pain Syndrome): Chondromalacia is an overuse injury where the cartilage under the kneecap deteriorates over time.
SIGN & SYMPTOMS
Knee tenderness and pain that increases when using stairs and after sitting for prolonged periods of time. There is generally a dull, aching pain located behind the kneecap. A grinding sensation may occur behind the kneecap.
