Cragg, a California native, has excelled on both U.S. and international long-distance running stages; most recently with her win at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials and ninth place finish in the Marathon at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games. Prior to that, Cragg finished just one spot off the podium and U.S. Olympic team at the 2012 Olympic Marathon Trials. However, her innate competitive nature and determination fueled her quest for redemption, and led her to victory at the 2016 Olympic Marathon Trials. Beyond her athletic success, Cragg is recognized for being an inspiring teammate. She demonstrated a remarkable act of teamwork at the Olympic Trials when she encouraged training partner, Shalane Flanagan, through a battle with dehydration mid-race.
